RED LIGHT DELAY

here’s a t-shirt design/event identity i just finished up for valparaiso university’s lange leadership conference in 2009.

the theme verse for the weekend is micah 6:8 which says, “and what does the lord require of you? to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your god.”

with that in mind, the traffic light can serve as an everyday three-in-one reminder of such qualities.

WAY NO SWAE

regardless if you got the “way no way” reference to ross and chandler’s band from the tv series “friends,” here’s a logo i just finished up for swae sports.

swae sports is an online adventure sport business that helps plan trips nationwide for outdoor enthusiasts. the business will officially launch in late 2008 or early 2009.

MAYBE TOMORROW WE CAN FLY

below is a digital illustration entitled “maybe tomorrow we can fly” that i just finished up for a group exhibition in mexico city.  the show, which will take place in november, is entitled “borders” with the theme for the collaborative of work being immigration.

REVEAL

the rocky mountain synod needed posters designed yesterday to go to print for this year’s middle school and high school youth gatherings.

fear not, for after receiving the e-mails in the morning, i was able to get the posters designed, refined and sent out to the committee chairs by mid-afternoon.

INSPIRED DWELLINGS

i designed this logo last night for a new business starting up in denver.

the business is a home renovation company that will refurbish old houses and transform them into affordable housing within denver.

FEAR NOT

i was asked yesterday to come up with a shirt design as soon as possible for the 2009 rocky mountain synod youth gathering. they had already commissioned a design firm in florida for the job, but one of the planning team members was incredibly dissatisfied with multiple designs from the firm and thus asked me. however, she needed the design by monday for the upcoming synod assembly.

the msyg theme is “fear not” and the key verse for the gathering is isaiah 43:1, which says, in short, “fear not for i have redeemed you. i have called you by name. you are mine.”

with that in mind, here’s the design i came up with.

SWAY YOUR HEAD

i just finished editing another promo video for the rocky mountain synod’s 2008 senior high youth gathering. this video, along with two other promo videos that i edited for the same event, will be distributed to every congregation throughout the rocky mountain synod (colorado, new mexico, texas, wyoming & utah).
